Will Loughran named COO at Concord Hospitality


Concord Hospitality, a prominent hotel management and development company that operates over 140 hotels across North America, has officially announced the appointment of Will Loughran as the new Chief Operating Officer, a role that he began on April 22. Loughran will directly report to Mark Laport, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Concord Hospitality. He takes over the position from Nick Kellock, who is set to retire in May after more than 15 years of commendable service at Concord Hospitality.

Background and Career Journey of Will Loughran:

  • Previous Role: Prior to joining Concord Hospitality, Loughran was the President and CEO at Evolution Hospitality, having initially joined the company as Chief Operating Officer in 2015.
  • Extensive Experience: Loughran’s career in the global hospitality industry spans over 30 years, during which he has accumulated a vast amount of knowledge and has held various executive roles across prestigious hospitality companies and hotel brands.
  • Prior Positions: Before his tenure at Evolution Hospitality, he was the President at Richfield Hospitality, where he managed hotel operations across over 30 countries. Additionally, Loughran served as the Vice President of Revenue at Sage Hospitality Resources, where he was instrumental in launching the first Sage Sales and Revenue Summit.
  • Early Career: His professional journey began at Marriott International, where he held numerous leadership positions over nearly two decades.

  • Operational Efficiency: In his new role at Concord Hospitality, Loughran’s primary responsibility will be to ensure that all properties under the company’s management operate efficiently and effectively, aligning with the mutual interests and goals of all involved parties.
  • Strategic Planning: He will also focus on developing and implementing strategic plans aimed at the growth and expansion of the brand.
  • International Expansion: Leveraging his expertise in international markets, Loughran will play a key role in helping Concord Hospitality expand its footprint, particularly in Canada, where the company already boasts a number of successful hotels.

  • Academic Background: Loughran holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Colorado State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
