Tony Awards Nominations 2024: The Complete List

The Tony Awards nominators didn’t have much time. This year, in a crush of openings, 12 Broadway shows opened in the nine days before the eligibility deadline. (To qualify, a Broadway show must have opened between April 28, 2023, and April 25, 2024.)

Nevertheless, the nominees for the 2024 Tonys were announced Tuesday morning on CBS and via livestream by the Tony winners Jesse Tyler Ferguson (2022, “Take Me Out”) and Renée Elise Goldsberry (2016, “Hamilton”). In a spread of achievements, 28 of the 36 eligible shows picked up at least one nomination.

“Hell’s Kitchen,” Alicia Keys’s semi-autobiographical musical, and “Stereophonic,” David Adjmi’s play about a rock band recording a studio album, each picked up 13 Tony Award nominations, the most of any other productions this year. “Stereophonic” also triumphed for its ensemble acting: five of its seven performers were singled out for individual acting nominations.

And notable screen actors were recognized for their stage roles: Daniel Radcliffe picked up his first Tony nomination with his fifth Broadway show, a revival of “Merrily We Roll Along”; Jeremy Strong earned a nomination for “An Enemy of the People”; Rachel McAdams for “Mary Jane”; and Sarah Paulson for “Appropriate.”
