Sri Lanka's garment exports drop 2.5% to $1,797 mn in Jan-May 2024

Garment exports from Sri Lanka reached $1,797.2 million from Jan-May 2024, a 2.5 per cent decline from 2023.
Textile exports dropped by 18.7 per cent to $117.5 million, while other textile articles increased by 8.1 per cent to $46.2 million.
Imports of textiles rose by 9.4 per cent to $1,094.2 million.
Garment exports in 2023 fell to $4,440.6 million.
