Slow Roasted Field-Grown Tomatoes : Slow Roasted Tomatoes

Tomato season is nearly here and Trader Joe’s wants to help consumers put tomatoes back on their plates with its new Slow Roasted Tomatoes product.

Trader Joe’s new Slow Roasted Tomatoes are sourced from a fourth-generation tomato processor in Turkey, which is one of the biggest suppliers of tomatoes worldwide. This supplier starts with firm, field-grown tomatoes and slow roasts them for either hours. This slow-roasting process intensifies the flavor and helps to bring out some of the brighter and tangier flavors, while also achieving a tender, soft-dried texture. The tomatoes are then combined with sunflower and extra virgin olive oils, as well as a pinch of garlic and oregano to compliment the rich tomato flavors.

Perfect for everything from salads to sandwiches, Trader Joe’s Slow Roasted Tomatoes are sure to become a summer staple.
