In a significant move to bolster its presence in Eastern India, Radisson Hotel Group has announced the signing of its first hotel in West Bengal, the Radisson Hotel Siliguri. This 150-room property, expected to be operational by Q2 2028, marks a strategic expansion for the Group, aiming to bring international hospitality standards to diverse and emerging markets in India.
The announcement was made during a formal signing ceremony attended by leadership teams from Radisson Hotel Group South Asia and SBM Group. Siliguri, known for its importance as a commercial, transportation, and educational hub, also serves as a gateway to Northeast India—a key focus market for the Group. The city’s proximity to the Himalayas and its accessibility to popular destinations like Darjeeling and Dooars make it an attractive location for travelers.
Radisson Hotel Siliguri will be ideally situated near Bagdogra International Airport, New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, and Siliguri Junction, providing seamless connectivity for both domestic and international travelers, including those from neighboring countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan.

Once open, Radisson Hotel Siliguri will feature 150 guest rooms and spacious suites. The hotel will offer a range of amenities, including a well-equipped fitness center, a refreshing swimming pool, and a rejuvenating spa. The hotel’s versatile event spaces, encompassing a sprawling 18,000 square feet, will be well-suited for MICE events and memorable gatherings. Additionally, guests can indulge in culinary delights at the all-day dining venue, relax at the bar, or enjoy a cup of tea at the tea lounge.
Originally built in 1935, the hotel’s legendary history has been beautifully reimagined with modern sensibilities, paying homage to Cochin’s rich multicultural fabric and maritime heritage. The leading Indian hotel company continues to strengthen its presence in Kerala with 20 hotels, including six under development, across its Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands.
