Purplle launches one beauty store in Kolkata, plans another

Beauty and personal care business Purplle has a new address in Kolkata. The store opened its doors to the public in the city’s Behala district with a multi-brand selection of goods and is already eyeing another launch in the West Bengal capital.

“Hello Kolkata, Purplle Store in Behala now officially opens its door,” wrote Purplle’s head of NSO and retail expansion projects Sartaaj Ramani in a Linkedin post. “Walk into the store for existing offer and free gifts on every purchase. Walking to the store to get free makeover from our beauty experts.”
 
The store houses beauty brands including House of Lakmé, Good Vibes, and Faces Canada among others. Along with colour cosmetics, the retail outlet stocks skincare goods and personal care items from a selection of Indian and international brands.
 
Purplle plans to open another new Kolkata store in Serampore in the near future, Ramani announced in a separate Linkedin post. Last month, Purplle opened a new store in New Delhi’s Mangalbazar neighbourhood. The business also counts stores in cities including Noida, Jaipur, and Bengaluru, according to its website.
 
Manish Taneja and Rahul Dash launched Purplle in 2012 to retail beauty and grooming goods. The business today retails products by more than 1,000 brands and became a unicorn in 2022.
