The new URSA Cine Immersive camera by Blackmagic is a small device that is specifically developed to be compatible with Apple’s VisionOS. Similar to other camera systems, it is meant to capture 3D stereoscopic content, and notably, the latest design has two lenses that look like a pair of eyes.
Both of these are made with 8160 by 7200 sensors and the camera has a 16 dynamic range stop for premium tonal quality and accuracy. Other functions include the 90fps rate that supports 3D video recording. This is made possible with Blackmagic’s RAW format that is integrated with the company’s Media Module that has 8TB of functional network storage — this ensures that creators can record over two hours of 8K immersive video.
