Kimmel rolled footage from 2021 of McConnell saying “there’s no question” that Trump was “practically and morally responsible” for the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Yet McConnell on Thursday was part of a group of GOP lawmakers who met with Trump in Washington, and told reporters he supports the former president.
“What a spineless little Mitch you are,” Kimmel said.
