Italy's fashion stronghold weakens in UK market, slips to fifth place

Italy, once the third-largest garment supplier to the UK, has seen its market share decline due to post-COVID trade volatility.
By January-March 2024, Italy ranked fifth, with a 5.76 per cent share of the UK’s apparel imports, valued at $249.209 million out of $4.329 billion total.
Italy’s current position remains weaker compared to pre-pandemic years.
