Ilem Japan launches first Chennai store

Japanese beauty and wellness business Ilem Japan has launched a brick-and-mortar store in Chennai. Located inside the city’s Phoenix Palladium mall, the store houses a multi-brand selection of cruelty-free and natural Japanese goods.

The store is Ilem Japan’s second standalone outlet in India, the business announced in a press release. The store’s natural wood clad, traditional Japanese style interior houses product categories including beauty, skincare, body care, hair care, and tea among others.

Ilem Japan focuses on ethical and sustainable businesses which use clean ingredients and retail in the premium segment of the market. The business opened its first standalone store in Pune and has also launched a number of kiosks across India to connect with shoppers and raise awareness about Japanese beauty goods.
