Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has announced the signing of a new Taj hotel in Panchkula, Haryana. This greenfield project is set to meet the growing demand in the tricity area of Panchkula, Mohali, and Chandigarh.

Its 150 spacious guest rooms will offer panoramic views of the Ghaggar River and the Panchkula Golf Course. Dining options will include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar, and a lobby lounge.
Additionally, the hotel will feature the city’s largest banqueting hall, spanning 10,000 square feet, making it an ideal venue for business conferences and social events. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, commented, “The signing of a Taj in Panchkula, one of Haryana’s leading cities, aligns with our vision to further solidify IHCL’s presence in the region. Given its proximity to Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, this addition will also create a new travel circuit. We are pleased to partner with Mr. Kuldeep Singh Makkar for this venture.”
Kuldeep Singh Makkar expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, “We are honored to partner with IHCL to bring the iconic Taj brand to Panchkula. We are confident that this hotel will enhance the regional tourism landscape.”Panchkula, a planned city in Haryana, is a satellite city of the Union Territory of Chandigarh. Situated in the foothills of the Shivalik range, it serves as a base to explore the revered Mansa Devi temple and Gurudwara Nada Sahib.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have six properties in Haryana under the Taj, Vivanta, Gateway, and Ginger brands, including two currently under development.
