Grass expands sun protection range with whipped sunscreen


Skincare brand Grass has expanded its product offering and announced that it has launched India’s first ever ‘whipped sunscreen’. The product offers 3D sun protection and has launched on Grass’ direct to customer e-commerce store.

“This multi-functional sunscreen ensures that your skin stays healthy, hydrated, and protected, maintaining a luminous and youthful appearance,” announced the brand in a press release. “Embrace this new-age solution for comprehensive sun care that combines innovative protection with luxurious hydration.”
 
The sunscreen is designed with SPF 50+ and PA++++ and has a whipped texture which is chosen for its ability to blend into the skin smoothly. This means that it does not leave a white cast on the face, according to Grass. The whipped sunscreen also features advanced UV filters to protect the skin from UVA, UVB, and high-energy visible light.
 
Grass’ new launch has ingredients including red raspberry, witch hazel, and chamomile to keep the skin hydrated. The whipped sunscreen also contains anti-inflammatory compounds such as bisabolol and chamazulene to create a product which both shields and soothes the skin.
 
This season, many Indian brands have stepped into sunscreen or expanded their prior product offerings to cater to the increasing demand for SPF products. The consumer trend is also in line with the increase in demand for natural ingredients in beauty goods in India.
