An author’s stories to tell never end. As I finish one story, I begin with another one. Similarly as I finished traveling through the year 2024, I must ready myself to travel through the year 2025. I will keep the memories of the past within my bag of lessons learned to guide me through the year I must walk through. This year, I shall travel through by living through the best possible story of my life. How, you ask? My answer is just by authoring it through living it. Before I say farewell 2024 and welcome 2025, I must remember the memories of 2024.
If life was a book and each year is one story, then I have to learn from the year 2024 and walk with the learned lessons and memories into the class of 2025.
So, I take a deep breath and try to think of the good, the bad, and the horrific memories of 2024.
I had rung in the new year of 2024 while on vacation in San Diego, California. Little did I know that I would be living here soon. This city sits on the Pacific Coast of California. The Mediterranean weather is enjoyed by the residents and tourists all year round.
Wherever you go, the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean greet you with a smile as this city is famous for its 70 miles of untouched and clean beaches! The numerous fruit trees, such as citrus, pomegranate, figs, persimmons, loquats, and many others, thrive in this Mediterranean weather.
San Diego, which is also called “America’s Finest City,” became my hometown as I finally moved here early in the year.
I believed it was paradise on Earth when you stand and watch this amazing city through the windows of my high-rise apartment. I enjoyed watching the Disney cruises come and go as I watched the airplanes take off. Yet I kept missing my home. I asked myself, what and where is home? As a freelance writer, wherever I go and live is my home. For some reason, something bothered me a lot.
On May 26, 2024, I lost my furry baby boy, Mr. Patches Ruby.
Patches was over 15 years old, and my first dog. He lived a very happy and peaceful life. He was a perfectly healthy boy who left this Earth in his sleep due to old age. Patches loved me all his living life, as I will love him and remember him all my living life.
The loss of a pet as a pet parent is something you don’t ever get over, but I guess you learn to live with it and without him.
The same month, I was gifted my furry baby boy, Moo Patches Ruby.

He is the same breed, a Shih-Tzu, but with different colors and totally different characteristics. He is the best gift God had sent me. I became busy with my two-month-old furry baby boy and holding on to him, I realized the purpose of being a pet parent is to learn from them how innocent and selfless love for their family members is. Be happy with the toy ball and food on your plate and walking through a park. Get overjoyed to see your family members back home to you always as Moo does his butt wagging dances when he greets any family members at the door.
This year was Moo’s first Christmas, and he loved getting gifts under the tree. His advent calendar box was a huge success as now he keeps on asking for another toy which magically appears from the box. So, he learned to bark and ask for one.
I also released three books this year.
I published a heart-touching story I call, The Bride, The Groom, And The Ghost, a loving family drama, which takes place through reincarnation. In this book, you see three is not always a crowd.
For all of you who loved my books of Spiritual Songs and have said every day, you open a page and let the prayer song talk to you, I have gifted you, Spiritual Songs III: The Rising Lotus. In this book, I have brought to you the meaning of the seven days of the week and prayers for each day. Alongside, I have also included prayers for healing, financial sustenance, love, family, work, and much more. I know this book will be loved and cherished by you, as this is my gift to all of you.
I have not forgotten my Kasteel Vrederic fans, as yes I have published Woman In The Mirror, a page turner for all of you. In this book, as you find out more about the woman in the mirror, you will travel with the famous Kasteel Vredetic family through England, the Netherlands, and Egypt. Enjoy reading the mystical paranormal book and traveling through some of history’s mysterious sites.
Now as the year is ending, I have some books lined up for you to be released in the upcoming year.
As I take a break for the holidays and renew my vows of peace, harmony, joy, and serenity, I know life is not always a silver platter. Loss and sorrows seep inside the cracks even when we try to protect all the doors and windows so they stay outside.
So, I accept the loss of this year and pray for a healing heart, to not forget my furry boy but live on with his blessed memories and teachings as I give his brother a loving home. May my love for Moo not lack because I miss Patches but increase because Moo is an individual furry boy who is so different and loving. He deserves all my love and care just as his brother Patches had. I call Moo my beloved miraculous healer.
In 2024, I also spread my positive messages through my book of prayers I call Spiritual Songs III: The Rising Lotus. I believe whatever the obstacles we are facing, tomorrow is another day with sorrows, with pain, and with hardship. We will all get back up on our feet and we will be all right. Tomorrow is a new beginning and for all of you in the new year, I will have my fourth book of Songs. In this upcoming book, my message is simple, darkness will dissolve and dawn will break through for me and for you, if only you believe.
So as you start planning to let go of this year and welcome the year 2025, align yourself with positivity.
At the worst point of your life, stop and renew your faith and believe in the process of positivity. It’s simple. Just breathe in all the positive energies and breathe out all the negative energies. It’s simple. Just let go and learn to breathe. You will be all right. Believe in your own footsteps and your own thoughts and feelings. Combine them and recite a prayer song and bring in the positive energy you were seeking.
If today you are waiting for a miracle to take place, then think out clearly about the purpose of your life. Every single one of us is a blessing and has a reason to be here on Earth. My friend was sick with COVID-19 and said so happily from the hospital, she was so needed. I felt lost and without her, I felt like I did not have the basic support of a friend who always says to me to be positive. I watched how positive she was as she walked into the hospital and knew she needed the treatment. As she got better, she said she found a new home in life and is breathing easier physically and emotionally.
So, I tell all of you to find the purpose in your life and walk toward it.
It might take time but enjoy the planning and journey traveling toward your goal. You will soon be there. Believe it and it shall be.
I want all of you to remember tomorrow is another day. New Year’s Day is a new beginning of another dawn. This year as we take the final journey through the whole process of walking with courage, energy, faith, and belief, tomorrow we will all bring in the new year with hope and faith as our companions.
Happy New Year everyone! Learn to let go and learn to welcome the new beginning. I know it’s a happy and sad emotional roller coaster ride as we walk out of one story and enter the pages of a blank book we need to fill up as we travel through 2025.
Let’s all now write our happy endings, the conclusion chapter of 2024, and welcome the new year as we start writing the prologue of 2025.
