FAITH ropes in Nakul Anand as its ‘Patron-in-Chief’, ET TravelWorld

The Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH) has announced the appointment of Nakul Anand as ‘Patron-in-Chief’ of FAITH for life with immediate effect. The decision was made during the recent Board Meeting held under the Chairmanship of Puneet Chhatwal, Chairman – FAITH.

Rajiv Mehra, General Secretary of FAITH shared this information highlighting Anand’s exceptional contributions and unwavering dedication to the tourism & hospitality industry as Former Chairman of FAITH and Former Executive Director at ITC. The decision to appoint him as ‘Patron-in-Chief’ was met with unanimous approval from the FAITH Board.

In his new role, Anand will continue to serve as a guiding force for FAITH, leveraging his vast experience and expertise to further the organisation’s mission of fostering growth and development within the Indian tourism & hospitality sector.

The Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH) is the apex body comprising of ten national associations representing various segments of the industry. FAITH serves as a unified voice for stakeholders advocating policies and initiatives to promote sustainable growth and development.

Travel, tourism sector expected to add 5.82 cr jobs in India by 2033

Incidentally, talent demand in tourism recorded a 44 per cent spike in August 2023, and 1.6 million additional jobs were expected to be added in the calendar year 2023, he said. With the continued growth momentum, the travel and tourism sector is all set to add 58.2 million jobs by 2033, throughout the country, he added.
