FabIndia partners with Unicommerce to boost e-commerce operations


Ethnic wear and lifestyle brand FabIndia has partnered with software as a service company Unicommerce to boost its e-commerce operations. The business will now synchronise its inventory on an hourly basis and be able to ship e-commerce orders from its brick-and-mortar outlets.

“With Unicommerce’s robust omni-channel technology, we are confident of seamlessly managing our rising e-commerce volumes across online and offline channels,” said FabIndia’s chief of e-commerce Arun Naikar, India Retailing reported. “I believe this is an important step towards building a strong technological foundation that will unlock our future growth.”
 
Through the partnership, FabIndia will be able to avail Unicommerce’s warehouse management system and multi-channel order management system to streamline its order process. The business will also harness unicommerce’s technology to manage its order returns with the aim of reducing waste and improving the customer’s post-purchase experience.
 
“We are confident that Fabindia will benefit from the automated workflows offered by Unicommerce’s technology while catering to their rising order volumes and growing customer aspirations,” said Unicommerce’s managing director and CEO Kapil Makhija.
 
FabIndia counts over 100 exclusive brand outlets across India along with its direct to customer e-commerce store. The brand recently launched its latest womenswear collection ‘Avni’, featuring printed cotton kurta sets, FabIndia announced on Facebook.
