Etihad launches new route to Jaipur, more connectivity between Abu Dhabi & Northwest India, ET TravelWorld


Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, has inaugurated its new route to Jaipur, India, strengthening its connectivity with four non-stop flights per week. This addition makes Jaipur the airline’s 11th destination in India, underscoring Etihad’s commitment to the Indian market.

The launch was celebrated with a welcome ceremony at Jaipur International Airport. The new route connects one of India’s cultural jewels with the rest of the world via Abu Dhabi, offering seamless global connectivity.

On the launch, Antonoaldo Neves, CEO, Etihad Airways, commented, “With the resurgence of outbound travel from India, we are thrilled to start four weekly flights to Jaipur, a significant cultural and commercial centre. By establishing this crucial air link with Rajasthan, we aim to meet the increasing demand from travellers in and around the region, providing them with convenient access to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and seamless connectivity to our extensive global network, while delivering a remarkable flying experience.”

Travellers from Northwest India can now enjoy direct access to Etihad’s expanding network and frequent connections through Abu Dhabi’s global links. The service will cater to tourists eager to explore Jaipur’s historic forts, palaces, and vibrant cultural scene, as well as business travellers seeking efficient routes.

This new route is designed to cater to the needs of business travellers, especially those in the banking and stock market sectors, providing seamless connectivity between Toronto and London. Additionally, the service will enhance travel options for Canadians heading to India, with convenient connections to Mumbai (BOM) and Delhi (DEL) through London Heathrow, which offers an average layover time of just 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Passengers flying from Jaipur to destinations in the United States will benefit from the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility at Abu Dhabi, ensuring a hassle-free immigration process. The new route is expected to attract more visitors to the UAE, allowing them to experience the exceptional facilities at Zayed International Airport’s Terminal A, Etihad’s new home.The flights will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft in both Business and Economy cabins. The convenient flight schedule aligns with optimal travel times to Abu Dhabi, facilitating easy connections to the airline’s global network.

Etihad Airways has significantly increased its capacity to India by a third over the past 12 months, reflecting its deepening commitment to the Indian market. The new Jaipur route is part of Etihad’s strategy to expand its footprint and enhance travel experiences for its passengers.
