BigBasket launches BB Matrix as supply chain platform


Tata Group fast moving consumer goods retail business BigBasket has boosted its supply chain operations by launching BB Matrix as a software as a service (SaaS) platform. The new launch offers live tracking and transparency and integrates artificial intelligence led automation.

“BB Matrix provides comprehensive ongoing support that encompasses configuration and optimisation, seamless data integration with over 150 ERP, CRM, and POS tools, and flawless migration as well to its customers,” said BB Matrix’s head of sales and marketing Manish Mishra, ET Retail reported. “In addition, Tata BB Matrix is capable of offering its solutions in international markets like the US, Middle East, SEA, and Africa regions as well.”
 
BB Matrix is designed to adapt to fluctuating market conditions and can be scaled to oversee 15 million transactions per month. The SaaS platform includes an order management system, a transport management system, and a warehouse management system for end-to-end supply chain management.
 
“To cater to the pressing demand for agile, robust, and cost-efficient supply chains, we have made BB Matrix available to enterprises across different sectors that go beyond retail and e-commerce, like manufacturing, automobiles, aviation, consumer goods, and more,” said BigBasket’s CPTO and head of SaaS business Rakshit Daga, the Economic Times reported.
 
BigBasket retails a multi-brand selection of goods ranging from beauty products to accessories to groceries. The business’ cosmetics segment ‘The Beauty Store’ retails brands including Sugar Cosmetics, Lakmé, snd Faces Canada among others, according to its Facebook page.
