Other budget priorities stressed by the prime minister include increase in foreign direct investment, controlling imports, carefully implementing development projects, increase in revenue collection, increase in the income of expatriates through legitimate channels and rise in the number of beneficiaries under social security programmes, according to domestic media reports.
The size of Bangladesh’s national budget for FY25 will be $68.33 billion, which was recently approved by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
